The ICC has organised several important competitions, including the T20 World Cup. Apart from the ODI World Cup, the shorter format has piqued the interest of many casual cricket fans. As a result, it becomes increasingly vital for the teams to do well in these competitions.

Since 2007, the T20 World Cup has been the competition in which Pakistan's cricket squad has outperformed the ODI World Cup. In 2007, they were finalists; in 2009, they were winners; and in 2010, they were semifinalists. The format was ideal for their style of play.

Furthermore, with the departure of several legendary players, they have failed in the previous two T20 World Cup editions. This time, though, they have a couple players who can turn the game around in a matter of overs. They now have guys who can bat match-winning innings or bowl match-winning spells.

Pakistan's anticipated playing XI for the T20 World Cup 2021 is as follows:

1.Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper)

Muhammad Rizwan

Mohammad Rizwan is regarded as one of the best wicketkeepers of his time. He possesses a safe pair of hands and well complements the bowlers. Furthermore, he is a senior member of the team.

Rizwan is a strong batter with the ability to accelerate when needed. He has scored 1019 runs with an amazing average of 48.52 in 40 T20I appearances. For a long time, he has been a regular component of the Pakistan team.

A strike rate of 129.15 appears to be a little low for an opener, but he can play depending on the scenario. He hit a century against South Africa, demonstrating his ability to accelerate when needed. Furthermore, in the just ended series against England, he has been steady.

2. Babar Azam (captain)

Babar Azam

There has been debate about whether Virat Kohli or Babar Azam is a stronger limited overs batter. The forthcoming T20 World Cup, on the other hand, will add additional heat to the rivalry. Although Virat appears to have the upper hand, Babar may excel for his country in 2018 World Cup.

Pakistan's captain is in the best shape of his life. Babar must lead from the front if Pakistan wants to make this tournament matter. He has played 58 matches in the shortest format thus far, scoring 2153 runs at a 46.8 average. He has also done well as Pakistan's leader thus far.

Babar is one of the rare players that has a batting average of 40 or above in every game. Babar is technically good and, with a reasonable strike rate, has the potential to be the “impact player” Pakistan has been looking for for the previous five years. His 19 half-centuries in 58 games demonstrate his bat prowess.

3. Mohammad Hafeez

Muhammad Hafeez

This year might be the "Professor's" last ICC Tournament. And the Pakistani squad may be ready to bid him farewell if he decides to call it quits. Along with Misbah and Younis, Hafeez is one of the most recognisable players.

Hafeez has appeared in 110 T20Is for Pakistan. With 2423 runs, he is one of the past champions' leading scorers. Despite his poor strike rate of 121.03, he can keep the ship afloat while others fail. If Pakistan needs someone to step up, Hafeez may be the one to do it.

Aside from his batting, Hafeez has been outstanding with the ball. In the shorter format, he has taken 59 wickets. In addition, he has a 6.6 economy rate with the ball. He may stop the runs at one end, allowing the other bowler to take up wickets.

4. Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar Zaman is a player a captain would maintain in his squad despite his inconsistency. Zaman has been one of Pakistan's most productive white ball attackers in recent years. He is a strong match player, as seen by his 117 in the Champions Trophy final.

Zaman has appeared in 50 T20Is thus far. With 1006 runs under his belt, he has a respectable strike rate of 136.31. On his day, he could destroy any bowling alley, but his sole flaw is his unreliability.

He had a double century in ODIs and the top T20I score of 91. Zaman, like Hafeez, has the potential to anchor the innings if he is in good form. With three capable players at the helm,Fakhar's presence as a power hitter is the icing on the cake.

5. Azam Khan

Azam Khan

This teenager has made headlines in the home circuit due to his ball-striking skills. Despite not being the fittest cricketer, he can easily smash the ball out of the ground.

Khan has played 44 T20 games so far in his career. He has been a useful batter in the middle order, with a strike rate of 152.49. In the format, he also holds the maximum score of 88.

In terms of his international career, he recently made his T20I debut. He didn't have much of a chance to bat, but he did score six runs in two at-bats. He has a bright future ahead of him. This T20 World Cup provides Khan with an excellent opportunity to impress for Pakistan.

6. Imad Wasim

Imad Wasim

In the limited-overs format, Imad Wasim is one of Pakistan's top all-rounders. He's been on the circuit for over six years and so provides some experience to this group. Wasim is a great fielder, a great bowler, and a great hitter of the ball.

Wasim has appeared in 52 T20Is for Pakistan. He averages 13.12, although he has a 146.43 strike rate in the format. If Pakistan requires someone to deliver some devastating blows, look no further.

In terms of bowling, Imad has taken 51 wickets thus far. With the greatest bowling statistics of 5/14, he is a difficult customer to deal with in the early stages of an innings. Wasim has a 6.4 economy rate, making him a great bowler.

7. Shadab Khan

Shahdab Khan

Shadab Khan made headlines following a strong performance in the 2017 Champions Trophy. He is a skilled bowler who can adjust to changing conditions. He is not hesitant to toss the ball to the batter, making him an ideal limited-overs spinner.

Khan has appeared in 50 T20Is to far. He has been a regular part of the playing side with 58 wickets and an outstanding economy rate of 7.44. Furthermore, he has the best bowling figure of 4/14, demonstrating his ability to demolish lineups.

In terms of batting, Khan is a competent batter. He has a 127.01 strike rate and can hit the ball cleanly. If the squad requires someone to hit some home runs during death overs.

8. Shaheen Afridi

Shaheen Afridi, a product of Pakistan's Under-19 squad and the PSL, has already excelled for the country. The club management has also done an admirable job in guiding him throughout his career.

Afridi has previously appeared in 29 T20Is for Pakistan. Afridi has 31 wickets to his name and an economy rate of 8.06, allowing him to produce breakthroughs for his skipper. He can bowl at any level of renown, which makes him a valuable member of the squad.

He has a number of different change-ups in his repertoire. His height also allows him to bowl bouncers to perfection on command. Afridi has been a consistent member of the shorter format for over two years, so he has considerable experience.

9. Usman Qadir

Usman Qadir

Usman Qadir, like his father Abdul Qadir, is a wrist spinner. He had a great U19 season with Pakistan, but he was unable to improve his talents.

It was nearly difficult for him to join Pakistan's national team. However, he was unexpectedly chosen for the national T20I team in 2020. Usman has appeared in 13 T20Is thus far. With 20 wickets to his name, he has the talent to play for the national team on a regular basis.

He has a 7.33 economy rate and a 15.75 bowling average. His best bowling numbers of 4/13 indicate that he has the potential to be a match-winner on his day. With the T20 World Cup being held in the UAE, he is capable of annihilating any batting order. The management should provide him the support he needs to succeed.

10. Mohammad Hasnain

Even if spinners are more effective in T20 cricket, how about a paceman who can bowl above 150 kilometres per hour? Yes, Mohammad Hasnain is a member of the national team and the team's quickest bowler. His quick speed may confuse batters and create early breakthroughs for his side.

Mohammad Hasnain has taken 17 wickets in 17 T20Is thus far. He has been one of the greatest finds in limited-overs cricket, with an economy rate of 7.63. Hasnain's speed allows him to deliver slower ones more efficiently.

With so much experience on the field, the presence of youthful legs like Hasnain is a huge help.

11. Haris Rauf

Haris Rauf has played in the Big Bash League for the Melbourne Stars and had a good outing. So far, he has played 21 T20I games and taken 28 wickets for the team. Despite his higher economy rate of 8.94, he has the ability to collect important wickets at any point of the game.

Rauf has been a member of the national team since last year. Since then, he has been a regular component of the team. In addition, his 77 T20 game experience will undoubtedly aid him in securing a spot in the team.

He also had a five-wicket haul. In addition, he has a T20 bowling average of 22.29. As Pakistan looks to improve its performance in the T20 World Cup, Rauf's form is critical.
