Shahid Afridi Will Play In Nepal's Premier League

For Kathmandu Kings XI, he will play alongside local sensation Sandeep Lamichhane

As team-mates in Nepal's Everest Premier League, Shahid Afridi and Sandeep Lamichhane will reconnect. As part of an ICC World XI, Lamichhane and Afridi played a hurricane relief exhibition match against West Indies at Lord's in 2007. On September 25 to October 9 at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, the Kathmandu Kings XI will be represented by the two players.

Anthony Lamichhane greeted Shahid Afridi in a video greeting at the beginning of the team's campaign: "Welcome aboard with Kathmandu Kings XI." "It's great to see you on the pitch. I know you will have a fantastic time in Nepal. Your addition to the team is much anticipated."

As a result of visa difficulties, Lamichhane had to return home, even though he had arrived in London safely and was reaching the end of his quarantine.

This is not the first time Lamichhane and Afridi have come up against each other.

In his first visit to Kathmandu, Afridi said: "This will be my first visit to Kathmandu." As a result of my excitement, I'm looking forward to my trip.

How many sixes was the first question Afridi was asked by the press before the match? I'll do my best to amuse the people of Nepal, Afridi added with a giggle.

Just as Nepal was getting ready to welcome their greatest signing yet, Chris Gayle to the country's cricket team, Covid-19 struck at the worst possible time for the game in Nepal last year. As a result of Covid-19, the Pokhra Rhinos were unable to obtain Gayle's services.
