It was a thrilling one-wicket win for West Indies over Pakistan in the first test match in Jamaica on Sunday, thanks to Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales at the end.
After the West Indies had bowled Pakistan out for 203 in their second innings, with Seales taking 5-55, Roach scored 30 and Seales added two in an unbroken 17-run partnership to help the home side reach their target of 168 for nine wickets.
Before Roach hit the winning runs through the covers on the final day of play, there were 14 wickets taken.
When the West Indies lost their last recognised batsmen, Joshua da Silva, with 26 runs required and two wickets remaining, it appeared like the West Indies had little chance, but Roach rose to the occasion with a strong batting effort.
It was never going to be an easy chase as Shaheen Shah Afridi cheaply dismissed the Windies' top three batters to leave the host side reeling at 16-3 until a 68-run fourth wicket stand between Roston Chase and Jermaine Blackwood gave them hope.
Imran Butt, on the other hand, began a succession of sensational slip catches to turn the tide in Pakistan's favour as Chase went for 22 off Faheem Ashraf, Kyle Mayers fell to the same combination four balls later, and Blackwood was out for 55 off Hasan Ali thanks to a fantastic diving grab.
When Hasan bowled Jason Holder, tea was called with the Windies needing 54 runs to win and Pakistan needing three wickets.
The match remained volatile in the evening session, with three missed catches adding to Pakistan's inability to complete the tail.
After Pakistan resumed at 160-5, Seales rolled over Pakistan's lower order to become the youngest West Indian to take five wickets in a test match, breaking Alf Valentine's 71-year-old record.
Roach took the first wicket of the day, followed by Mayers and Seales.
Starting on Friday, the final test will also be held behind closed doors at Sabina Park in Kingston.
