For all visiting teams, the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Pakistan Government provided flawless security preparations. New Zealand Cricket has been assured of this. The Prime Minister of Pakistan talked personally with the Prime Minister of New Zealand, informing her that Pakistan has one of the strongest intelligence systems in the world and that the visiting delegation faces no security threats.
Throughout their time in Pakistan, the security officers accompanying the New Zealand delegation were happy with the security measures established by the Pakistani government.
The PCB is willing to keep the planned matches going. Cricket fans in Pakistan but throughout the world, however, will be saddened by this last-minute cancellation.
