Haider Ali's brilliant batting performance helped Overseas Warriors defeat Bagh Stallions by five wickets in the ongoing Kashmir Premier League (KPL) on Tuesday.
The Warriors won with four balls to spare after setting a target of 187.
Haider was the star of the show, scoring 91 runs off 57 balls. His fifth-wicket partnership with Kamran Ghulam (41* off 17 balls) yielded 67 runs in 33 balls, which was critical to the team's victory.
Batting first, Bagh Stallions posted 186/7 in 20 overs thanks to fifties from captain Shan Masood and middle-order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed.
Masood scored 73 runs off 45 balls to lay the groundwork for a competitive total, while Iftikhar bludgeoned the ball all over the ground during his 28-ball 54.
Sohail Khan and Abbas Afridi each took two wickets for the Warriors while conceding 34 and 44 runs in their four overs, respectively.
For his match-winning knock, Haider Ali was named player of the match.
